From August 21 to August 24 at Expocentre CEC the participants of the expanded Worldskills Russia national team will hone their skills at the MIMS Automechanika Moscow International Exhibition in the competences of Repair and Maintenance of Cars and Body Repair competencies.

Training is of a great importance in the preparation of the WorldSkills Russia national team for the 44th WorldSkills Competition-2017 World Championships, which is to be held from October 14 to 19  in Abu Dhabi.

vert_blue_.pngParticipants of Body Repair competence are to  analyze the geometry, will replace the structural element and spar, will remove the hinged parts, and shall perform  welding work. The training session will be conducted under the guidance of Mikhail Bernadsky, who is a recognized international expert in this competence.

In the scope of "Repair and maintenance of cars" competence the participants will conduct diagnostics of the engine, electrical equipment and motor & mechanical system. The evaluation criterion is  elimination of malfunctions in compliance with safety precautions, health and environment protection guidelines. The work will be evaluated by the national  team coaches under the guidance of Andrei Zhigulsky, the international expert.

The WorldSkills Russia national team is a team of contestants representing Russia at the world and European championship of professional skills. Under each championship the national team is formed out of the expanded list of candidates, which includes the finalists of the Young Professionals National Championship (WorldSkills Russia).

In Dubai's capital, Abu Dhabi, the 44th WorldSkills Competition-2017  Championship will be held from October 14 to October 19, whereat young professionals from 77 countries participating in the international movement will gather to compete for medals in 51 competencies. The WorldSkills Russia national team will represent its country for the third time in the world championship. For the first time Russia participated in the world championship in 2013 in Leipzig, and the second championship was in Brazil's Sao Paulo, wherefrom the team came back home with 6 medals awarded for high professionalism.
